The estate of Lizbeth Witte Reed

We had the great fortune of buying a number of amazing pieces from the estate of the late Lizbeth Witte Reed. Bet, as she called herself, was an artist all her life and she passed away at the ripe old age of 95, so she made quite a few paintings! She studied with the likes of Millard Sheets and Milford Zornes. She did landscapes and portraits primarily, in both acrylic and watercolor. Here are a tasting of the acrylics, watercolors to come. Handmade Pair of Stylized Stringed-Instrument Lamps

These two lamps are truly pieces of folk art. Someone took the time to make them by hand and they are totally unique. Abstract string instrument-shaped wood and black plastic with actual wire for the strings. Awesome industrial toggle switches on the backs with little metal pieces to wrap the wire, if need be. We've never seen anything like them before. Approx 12" tall.
